Removing Backgrounds in Canva vs our Gang Sheet Builder

Here’s a quick guide on how to remove a background and export your design in high resolution with no background (PNG) using Canva:

1. Remove the Background:

  • Open Canva and create a new design or open an existing one.
  • Upload your image or select one from Canva’s library.
  • Click on the image to select it.
  • On the toolbar at the top, click on Edit Image.
  • Scroll down to Background Remover (this feature is available with Canva Pro).
  • Click on Background Remover, and Canva will automatically detect and remove the background from your image.
  • If needed, use the Erase and Restore brushes to fine-tune the result.

2. Export as High-Resolution PNG with No Background:

  • Once your background is removed, click on the Download button in the top-right corner.
  • Select PNG as the file type.
  • Check the box for Transparent Background (this will ensure no background is included in your exported file).
  • Choose the Size option to increase resolution (usually set to 1x by default; you can select 2x or higher for better quality).
  • Click Download to export your design in high resolution with no background!

And you’re done! You'll have your high-res, transparent PNG ready to use.
